M.A.D.E.
M.A.D.E. jewelry is the collaborative work of husband and wife team Tess Doran and David Jones. Sharing studios space for 14 years coming together for a common design project in 2007. The history of design both in Aqrt & Architecture and how it has evolved since the onset of the 20th Century hold enormous interest to Tess & David. The work of M.A.D.E. echoes the ideals of the sonstructivist school at the beginning of the 20th centruy,when an attempt to link "art" with concrete and tangible ideas was taking place. Tess & David created work with the same drive and passion, to make pieces that use materials in a restrained and spare fashion. The end result emphasizes that the most priceless "artwork" can be discovered in the nuances of practical art, as in sterling jewelry!
